The host of Fox News excludes a “disgusting lie” for his family against the background of attack by Mag

Fox News presenter Jessica Tarlov struck a “disgusting lie” for her family, published on social media this week. And a licensed mental health advisor said that attacks on Tarlov shed light on a common “deeply misogynistic” attack.

Tarlov, the resident Democrat in Fox News, The Five, replied to an X publication that accused her of infidelity.

“Jessica was sleeping with her current husband (right) while still marrying her first husband (left),” read the X account called “Bad Hombre.” The post included a photo of Tarlov with her husband Brian McKenna and one of their two children.

“Lollll is absolutely not true,” Tarlov writes. “But I appreciate [you] Covering my baby’s face – respectful even when you spread a disgusting lie. “

Tarlov confronted the right -threaded waves after she called on X on Thursday to be considered “family values” against the backdrop of the news that the Texas Senator Angela Paxton (R) applied for a divorce from Texas General Prosecutor Ken Paxton.

Angela Paxon said in a statement that she had applied for a divorce after nearly four decades of marriage to “biblical reasons” and in the light of “recent discoveries”.

Ken Paxon, who is currently campaigning in the Republican primary place in the US Senate, was previously charged with an affair with a donor employee during his state impeachment process in 2023, in which he was acquitted of accusations of corruption.

But Tarlov’s criticism as a political commentator, which suggests that the Republican Party’s messages about “family values” were set with hypocrisy, sparked rude, misogynistic and humiliating personal attacks directed at her and her romantic relations.

Some X users have responded to the host of Liberal Fox News, calling it a “cheating whore,” “Ho” and “home destroyer”, among other neglectful attacks.

Hali Critas, a licensed mental health advisor and a Thriveworks therapist, who specializes in self -esteem, told Huffpost that attacks against Tarlov serve as “a clear example of how women in the public eye, especially in politics or comments, are often focused on a deeply gender ways.”

“For women, especially for those who are honest, often others undermine their confidence through personal or sexualized attacks,” she said.

People often attack or accuse women of being false as a way of strengthening the dynamics of gender power.

Critas said that attacking women for being false in their relationships – whether it is true or not – or criticized them for having multiple sexual partners, it seems to be a common line of attack, which is “deeply misogynistic.”

“This is especially because it is a move that works for discredit, shame or control of them. These accusations do not seem to do a little with the actual truth and more than the increase in the dynamics of gender power. It also punishes women for autonomy or any perceived independence,” she said.

Critas said that society tends to be more so for women both for the actual and the perceived infidelity.

“And even when the accusations are unfounded, women can still encounter intense judgment and shame in ways that men usually do not,” she said. “In cultural terms, women are expected to be emotional and moral anchors in relationships and to be loyal and nourishing. So when they” deviate, “away from it, it can cause a reversal in society.”

In general, Cricas explained that cases of infidelity with men tend to be “belittled” or “normalized”. And this is due to a “double standard that comes from long -standing gender standards and patriarchal ideas, equating the value of women with her sexual behavior and loyalty.”

The imbalance in expectations among men and women is reflected in the way society seeks to control the bodies of women and their choice, she added.
